From the perfume of its maquis, by far and with eyes closed, I would recognize Corsica - Napoleon.
As of the month of March, the season starts again for our greatest pleasure. In the nature, there is an explosion of colors, the maquis is blooming and parries Corsica with an exceptional smell of fresh flowers. The sun returns to the island of Beauty and illuminates the snow-capped peaks.
Spring is the ideal season to discover the blooming maquis (the corsican bush) and its scents. For the occasion, several events celebrate the return of the long days.
The Wellness Meeting in Balagne: an event focused mainly on the benefits of our maquis plants. Exhibitions and demonstrations, animations around our natural heritage, conferences on naturopathy and sophrology, Qi Gong workshops and yoga ... All the sectors combine to highlight the Corsican biocosmetics and the agricultural sector (essential oils, immortal) around taste, aesthetics, ecology and physics. A beautiful tribute to the extraordinary fertility of a land flooded with sunshine.
For Easter holidays, go egg hunting in the huge Parc of Saleccia. Walk along the flowered paths and let yourself be surprised by the excitement of the children, in search of treasures among the plants of the park. From 10am, the park opens its doors and offers activities for children: donkey rides and playground; Photographic exhibitions, especially on the Royal eagles and the birds of Corsica from the observatory. You can lunch on site at the tea room which offers local and homemade products. Or simply bring your picnic, and stroll along the thematic routes. The spring climate is ideal for staying in Corsica: very sunny but reasonably warm for those who sometimes fear the rigor of the winter climate, spring is the perfect time to discover the Isle of Beauty otherwise, by the sea or by hiking trails.
