Sainte Restitude Fair

Protective spirit of Calenzana (and indeed of the whole Balagne region), the virgin and martyr Saint Restitude is celebrated every year.
After the usual opening of the fair (with its many activities throughout the weekend), two processions will celebrate Saint Restitude. On this occasion, her relics will be carried by the village confreres. The service will start in the church of Saint-Blaise and end in the magnificent chapel of Sainte Restitude, where the relics will be brought back inside the religious building. Those wishing to do so will then be able to collect benefactor carnations.
Afterwards, its time to enjoy a convivial meal... and the entertainment provided for the occasion. A closing mass will mark the end of these beautiful Saint Restitude celebrations.
